Shadowdance: A Writing and Movement Workshop
February 11, 2018
SOHL, 8030 New La Grange Road, Louisville, KY 40222
This class is the first expression of an idea that began in my head a few years ago. I am beyond excited to partner with the School of High Vibe Living in Louisville for this workshop.
Learn how to express your hidden truths through creative avenues of communication.
This class is a safe space for participants to:
explore wordless, somatic connection with movement and writing
practice both verbal (written) and non-verbal forms of expression
participate in brief focusing and intention-setting warm ups
learn the concept of "shadowing" in dance and move through a series
of shadowing exercises in pairs or small groups
write or draw about these experiences
Participants should dress comfortably and bring a notebook or sketchpad and pen/pencil. This class is accessible to adults of all ages; you do not have to be a dancer or writer to participate and enjoy the experience.
